Finally hit level 70 as drk...took a long time >.> 5 more levels and a buffer to go! Then I get to merit, but I'll most likely solo most of them on blm, hehe. (this is not my normal setup, but I look darn cute in it. I look like I'm wearing PJs!)

Last night I finally got to kill KB my first time. I've had my fair share of killing Behemoth though...I didn't get any pictures of the King, just his crappy drops /sigh Aqua Feet ftl. Oh well maybe better drops next time.

Killed Ouryu some more today, 2 runs and won both of them pretty easily. I was happy though because for once I got to go as blm instead of rdm. I think I did very well today, and I must say I like the Static Earring. It's like the first time I've ever gotten to use it. Drops are always pretty nice on that one. The least you can get I believe is 3 ores which are worth 3 million or so each, so good stuff. Gogogo Crappy photoshop skillz. Maybe someday I'll actually get good at this.

I also did some more limbus in Temenos East. It's hard to decide when/what to pop when you are duoing because you don't have enough time to kill everything. I did get both my blm items quite quickly this time though, so my next upgrade with be the Wizard Gloves+1, too bad I didn't have those ready for today. I get them on Sunday though, yay! After that I'll get the body piece I suppose simply for 2 more enfeebling. Doesn't really seem worth it, but I <3 the white borders. And it's something different to look at while I'm resting too.

Yup, so I slacked off for a long time on the whole updating of the live journal. I blame it on the PS2 that sits behind me. Normally I update my journal when I seek party on drk, but now I've got this nice little program that notifies me when I received a tell! I only wished that I could have gotten it sooner, it's oh so nice. So now instead of staring at my moogle while seeking on drk, I can play video games behind me without having to look back every few seconds only to see that I in fact not received any tells. I can't say I feel bad about using this program, it's not hurting anyone ^^ The main reason I wish I had it earlier is simply because I can do other stuff while playing this game now....like school work.....

As for in game I've done a lot of stuff I suppose. I took a break from soloing limbus all the time and I've actually started to duo with people! It's much much better for limbus that way to be honest. I'm getting about 40 coins every 2 runs. I finally got my black rivet as well. I turned in all my materials for my chaos gauntlets+1 as soon as I could, now I just need the level >.> I've got a lot of stuff waiting to be used for my drk in the upcoming levels, can't wait! So I now have a set partner for limbus, Punisha. I've only gone with him once, but we each got 19 coins. He's a bit rusty on his macros atm, but he'll get better, and we'll get more coins each run. I did a few runs with a friend from my LS as well, nfx. He's really good and I'll miss duoing with him on this. This is what we got for duoing the Fafnir in NW apollyon. I get that darn sam item pretty much every run I do. I am going to try and solo him soon though, and hopefully a video will come out of that.

Apart from the soloing/duoing I've been in the hnm scene when I can. Lots of camping behemoth lately. Too bad the RMTs are there -_- I even got to be part of taking down Cerberus, no pics of him though ; ;

I finally got my Crafting Apron. I skipped the hat simply because its ugly and went straight for the cute apron. I haven't really touched cooking after I got my apron though, still at 72 or so...at least its 72+1 now! Does that make me a HQ Chef?

Here are a couple funny looking pics. The first pic is from an ouryu bc fight, and the second one is from lebros cavern tier 1. I've cleared all the assaults now, so it's time to go straight for points. What sucks is that the points I want most are from lebros cavern and the tier 3 assault only gives 333 points to everyone the 2nd time you win orz. And no one wants to do the tier 1, and especially the tier 2 ><

Yigit Gages - Medium 20,000 - Good hands for my Rdm. Suppose I could get rid of my Devotee mitts+1 for these.
Amir Boots - Medium - Good boots for my Drk, but my drk isn't quite 75 yet ; ;

Lebros Cavern: 3,137/28,000
Chivalrous Chain - Medium 8,000 - I doubt I'll be getting a peacock charm anytime soon, but this can certainly replace it.
Yigit Crackows - High 20,000 - My most wanted item. I'd love these for blm.

Periqia: 3,449/20,000
Yigit Gomlek - Medium 20,000 - Good for nuking as rdm. And I'd love to wear this while healing for the cool factor.

Ilrusi Atoll: 5,265/28,000
Grandiose Chain : Low 8,000 : Best mp recovered while healing neck piece, but I'm having enough trouble with my inventory. >.>
Yigit Turban : Low 20,000 : This is mostly just to complete the set I suppose. Maybe I'd use it while curing as rdm in bigger hnms because of the -emnity.

We did some more level 30 promivians to get our slivers. This was quite some time ago though. I didn't take any pics of the actual fight though. I've been slacking off on taking pics of everything I do lately, even if it's something important.

All the exp camps in the new zones are soooooo nice. I wonder why they made it so easy to merit now? You can get more xp in these normal parties than you could in a sea blm party killing the avatar's elementals. I can't complain though, I've still got a few merits to finish up.

And to end on a boring note I've been doing a lot of skill up lately....I skilled up my sword on rdm/nin all solo. I'm trying to learn Savage Blade at the moment, but first I had to get Retribution because I had the quest accepted already. That sucked. Since then I've used retribution once, it's pretty, but I can't see me using it over Spirit Taker for anything. I also had to skill up my great sword, which really sucked. I needed to skill it up right around when the expansion came out, and there were no skill up parties. So I took ody's smn and made carby tank some crabs to skill up while I used a level 25 great sword. In this screen I'm taking on a really big mean troll. I was trying to skill up my sword....it didn't go over very well at all. It took me about a half hour to kill him, and I think my DoTs ended up doing more damage than my swords. I think VT++ is definetly pushing it while trying to skill up sword on rdm.

Yeah, so I've slacked off on the whole updating thing. It happens. I usually update when I have pretty pictures, but I just haven't been taking too many lately. Not sure why /shrug. I think a bunch of stuff has happened since I last posted, *looks over pictures*

To start with, I've been doing a lot of meriting. I capped out my int, and I capped out my ice potency! On to mp+ I suppose, which my next one with be the 4th level. I've also been seeking on drk...a lot. And guess what, no invites....at all. 64 is such a crappy level for drks, cause no one wants you.

I've still been doing all my GP items as much as possible. I'm up to 94K, so 6K until my apron w00t. Too bad my cooking skill is only at 72, hehehe. Oh well.

Got a few new items too. It's always exciting when you get new stuff for your main job. I got Master Caster Bracelets, Loquacious Earring, and Wizard's Petasos +1. Funny how out of those 3 items the one that most improves my job was the easiest to obtain -_- I did have to get 2 more ranks of windy before I could purchase them. For rank 7 I did it with a group of lower levels. I probably would have been better off just going solo. Odyne/Rosie helped me with a couple of them as well. I soloed mission 7-2 though, killing Bonze Marberry was fun.

We attempted HQ bahamut again..and lost. That's a hard fight D: Our main problem this time was just our tanks dying too much...I think the main reason for that was we switched out a whm for a smn? Not entirely sure, I just know that when the tanks keep dying hate gets bad for everyone, which makes for a very bad run. I got 2 shotted by tiamat while doing this D: At least one of my shadows was absorbed? Darn Tiamat and his Mighty Strikes.

I got to kill the real Tiamat later too...he also 2 shotted me -_- Darn his mighty strikes! It was a fun fight though. We claimed it only have like 5 people there and had to hold it for a while. During that time we didn't have it slept and we had 2 air elementals on us >.> That wasn't very fun. I was told to focus on stunning the firaga IIIs at the start and I said that I really couldn't because of the elementals. Once again I was told to focus on Tiamat and what do you know?!? I was killed by the elementals soon after. I stayed in the alliance for the majority of the time. I only died one more time after that just from my hate being built up from all my stuns. I think I let 1 firaga get through the entire time after I died that first time. I don't quite remember why I didn't get it, I just remember it not being my fault, hehe. I was very happy with my performance :D After I died I was kicked from the alliance. I was sad. But at the end I was put back in for the title! /cheer We got Herald's Gaiters, which I later got to use for about a day. They're a lot of fun and help out on soloing a bunch. I didn't get any good shots of Tiamat because when your in the main alliance you can't really see him too well, and when I was out of it I was too frustrated to take any.

The day before we killed Jormungand as well. I didn't get in the main alliance at all though, just took care of the bombs/elementals. We just manaburned them all which is so much better than just holding them the entire time. Drops were pretty crappy, just ore and beetle blood I believe.

I killed Diabolos with a random manaburn pickup party. Really freaking easy with rdm/drk and blms. This time I actually made a pact with him. Before I got Diabolos's Pole, which really doesn't seem that great. I've just been using Pluto's Staff over it for dynamis.

Yesterday we had our sea stuff. I went with a party and we tried our best to pop the drk ix'aern. No luck...of course not. That thing is so annoying to pop. At least we got decent xp with just a party. We eventually had to leave to go to fafnir, which we didn't claim, win some you lose some. It happens. I don't mind losing though if it pops on the earlier instances, but when it pops last and we don't win it...orz.

Tonight was a good night, but it was long. I came home and remembered that I once again could do limbus...but I couldn't do it until 4 am. So I had like 3-4 hours with nothing to do. I seeked on rdm and got a couple invites only to disband with a lack of members. That sucks, but it happens D: I got another invite but then decided I was just going to go solo some xp as blm in sea. I'm very close to finishing off my last int, like 4K xp left! I soloed some Om'Phuabo and I've gotten much better on them. I can chain 3 them consistantly now, which is crazy, because before I would rarely get them at all. They're really annoying to pull still. I did get a new high on xp though!

This is with xp ring of course, but it's still nice to look at :D

I stopped at 4K to my final int merit because faffy was up! So I rushed up to dragon's aery and we took him out with 13 people pretty easily. Hate was a bit iffy though. All I was doing was MBing and I got hate and died D: Almost died at the end as well, but I got a Water IV off and killed him first. Drops were kinda crappy, but oh well. Faffy is always a fun fight ^^ Camping him, however, not so much.

After faffy it was time I did limbus again. I had such a good run this time :D Killed 2 ghosts on the first floor and pluto. Pluto gave me 2 coins and the sam item again. A coin dropped from one of the ghosts as well. Headed up to the next floor and killed the ram and 2 buffalo. Zlatarog dropped 2 coins and the brd item...again. Headed up to the next floor. Took out 3 bugards and got a coin from one of them as well. Got to my SECOND favorite floor. Cleared it all except for the boss, so 10 coins from that floor. Headed up to the 5th floor with a little over 10 minutes to spare. I was extremly nervous going into the fight, but I was ready! Full mp, buffs up, manafont ready, and a vile elixer+1 just in case! I ran toward the exit to the place because there's a bit more kiting room over there. I asked the LS if the behemoths link, and some said yes and 1 person said no. So I really wasn't sure D: I learned that they actually do not link! I used the same exact strategy as pluto. What I learned is the behemoths don't have as much hp as pluto. I think my first thunder IV (on thundersday with rairen obi and af2 pants) would take it all the way down to 81%. Before I could have sworn it only took it to 89%, but oh well. I kept at it taking large chunks of his hp. I almost died a few times because of gravity wearing off, and as you can imagine behemoths can take out tarutaru blms very quickly. So I used bind if gravity wasn't up and I would run away, set up buffs, and wait for gravity to get back up again. Finally, I was able to take it out. I've been wanting to sooooo badly, just haven't been able to because I didn't have enough time. Oh, but that's not all! I actually killed 2 behemoths! I also learned that you can ES sleep them.

And

28 coins in one run. Doubt I'll be able to beat that one anytime soon.

A new personal record for me, I got 16 coins and 2 items in limbus tonight. Made it to the top floor with the behemoths again, but didn't have enough time to kill one. The items were sam and smn, both of which I tossed like last week. /sigh. If you'd like an item besides drk or rdm that drops here, let me know. Then you can sit outside and perhaps leech it off me. Also updated the guide a little bit. Didn't get to do any behemoth testing today, just check out the terrain to see if there's a better spot to kite them.

Also learned something new today, the fafhogg doesn't link with the other wyverns around :D If they did I would have been one dead taru.....multiple times. Updated my guide with that among other things as well.

Up to 78Kish GP now for cooking. 22K until my apron w00t. I'm always worried about skilling up my cooking. I'm worried because when I do skill up I fill out my inventory completly with crafting items, so what do I do if I'm called upon?!?!

I finally found a darksteel scythe +1 too. Probably payed way too much for it, but I like H.Q. weapons dangit. I tried to have a friend HQ it, but out of 8 tries on darksday new moon, we had no luck. So now I'm stuck with 8 darksteel scythes. What really sucks though is at the time they were made they were selling for 200K, which would have actually made me a little profit, buuuut right after I had them made of course a bunch were put up and the price crashed...to 80K [-_-]-p Now I have to get level 65 to actually equip it. And if I'm lucky, maybe they'll make scythe a good deal better too, I'd very much like that.

So after 2 nights in a row of seeking on drk I got no invites w00t. Well actually I did get two invites today, and they were at the exact same time. I took one up and it ended up being the wrong one to take, orz. Everything was going well until the rdm says "Set party is online now, I have to join them." Whaaaaaat. Who joins a party only to leave like 5 minutes later because his set party is online. So the party leader decides to disband the party because there aren't anymore refreshers availible. I asked the other guy if he still needed me and he said his party was full. He then asked what happened to the party I had just gotten, so I told him about the rdm. He then tells me that the rdm is in his set. Wow, sucks for me. Better luck next time!

I continued seeking, but instead of just sitting there I decided to make my next video! This one is of Zlatarog - The 2nd floor Apollyon NW Ram boss. Same style of the first one, but for good reason. I'm planning on putting them all together when I'm finished.

So I did limbus again tonight, not my best run though orz. I got screwed over by a tp move called undead mold, which is disease. This disease lasted quite a long time, about 10 minutes...so in that time I got to rest with yag drinks and my black cloak on orz. What did I learn? To bring at least 1 remedy next time. Also mentioned it in my strategy. I also took some video footage! Not my best work because it's iceday, which means my gravity sucks. Stuck everytime, buuuuut didn't last long. I was extra careful on pluto, but it still ended up screwing me over with that move D: So yeah, I'm going to make a video guide of this! Still, 4 coins and 2 items, meh. I'm just not satisfied with that.

NW Apollyon Guide and my first mnk party!

So today, I did a ton of seeking. But that's isn't important, it's what I did with my time while I was seeking! I always try to keep busy while seeking so I don't lose my mind, hehe. Didn't ever find a party on my drk after seeking for about 6 hours, but oh well. I eventually got an invite on my rdm, even though I wasn't seeking on it. It was a mnk party so got a bunch of xp. 5 more merits worth w00t.

While I was seeking all the time though I got 2 levels of cooking, doesn't sound like too much but it sure took a long time and I went through a ton of materials, blah. Also do my GP items and I'm at 69K, so I could probably get the hat tomorrow if I really wanted, buuuuut I'm going to wait cause it's just so ugly. After that I looked through some LJs and went to the KI forums. I read up on other blms soloing limbus and from what I've seen most of them just stick to temenos east, which are the elementals/avatars. I saw a couple posts of blms doing apollyon NW so I decided to try that out for myself a couple weeks ago. Today I wrote up a guide for it! I figured I would since it was a request on the KI forums and a bunch of blms ask me about it anyways, so here you go!

The numbers #1-3 on the first 3 maps are suggestions for order in which to kill.

Whimsical's NW Apolloyon Soloing Guide ~ Text version

Suppose I'll share my experiences with Apolloyon NW since it seems hardly anyone has even tried this one out. I actually like this one a lot more than temenos east.

Before you enter be sure to buff up first with stoneskin, blink, protect, shell, and RR. First floor are the ghosts and a doomed toad boss named Pluto. I start out by killing the ghosts until the vortex appears. Rotate your nukes with thunder IV, fire IV and thunder III. After you've casted those three in a row, the ghost will most likely be ready to cast another spell. So wait to see what spell it begins casting. If it's a DoT just continue nuking. If it's a nuke you can decide whether to stun or run away from it, or even sleep it. If you decide to sleep it, I suggest using sleep II because sleep I gets resisted on the odd occasion. They also cast sleep spells so if you see this cast stun. The ghosts have a good amount of hp, but are easy to gravity/nuke. You can sleep them, but occasionally I've seen sleep I resisted (with anrin obi and lots of enfeebling gear). I usually have to rest a bit before I can finish them off. So after you've run out of mp, do a sleep II and run far enough away that you are out of its casting range. Keep resting until it wakes up, then continue and finish it off. After that I kill Pluto. He's probably the hardest part of this limbus. Just start out by casting gravity, and nuke with thunder IV, blizzard IV, thunder III, etc. Gravity seems to last a good deal of time. When you think it's about to wear off I suggest using bind, which also sticks for a good deal of time. Don't cast on him, just wait for gravity to wear off, and also use this time to put up buffs if they've worn off. Yes, you can ES sleep II it, but you don't really need to. The main thing about this is you really have to keep your distance from him because he's got TP regen so one good TP move and a normal hit and you'll probably end up dead. He's also got a nasty move called Undead Mold which is disease. This lasts a good deal of time so you may want a remedy on hand, I learned this the hard way. Manafont and get as much damage as possible. So I suggest using bind in the middle of it to separate yourself from him faster. Also even after bind wears off from being casted on it doesn't go directly at you like they do when you wake a sleeping mob. After all your mp/manafont is gone just pop the hp/mp chest and that should do it. The time chests are easy to pop on this floor.

This next floor has buffalos and the boss is a ram. I start out by popping the time chests and then killing the ram boss. The strategy for the boss and the buffalos does not differ at all, just have to be a bit more careful on the ram boss cause he hits a lot harder. I haven't been resisted on a single sleep or sleep II on this floor, but that of course could just be good luck. Keep stoneskin/blink up at all times on this floor. Start off by casting sleep and then gravity. Follow that up with thunder IV. Immediately start running away after you cast. You can actually get a few steps in while your casting with some practice, which helps a bunch too. I can start running after 55% and cast at about 62%. You just have to try this out for yourself because I'm sure it varies on different systems/different equipment setups. After the spell is 100% complete come to a complete stop and cast sleep II. Distance yourself once again as far away as possible then cast Blizzard IV. Sleep I should be up by then so use that. If it doesn't land sleepga II is always up. Aspir does not work on the buffalo ; ; I do believe these can double attack so be careful. By using this strategy you shouldn't get hit a single time though ^^ The buffalo have about the same HP as the ghosts do, so you'll probably have to rest after a sleep II to get enough mp to finish them off. Only kill as many buffalos as it takes to open the vortex to the next floor. I like using my 2 hour on the ram boss cause it's got quite a bit more hp than the buffalos do, so that will save you some time. After the buffalo opens the vortex pop the hp/mp chest and head up to the next floor.

The third floor has bugards. Use the same exact strategy as the buffalos/ram here. They actually don't have as much hp as the ghosts and buffalo do. My thunder IVs take about 25% off so you won't have to rest up some mp to finish them off. The boss here is the adamantoise/aspi boss. I don't bother with it, and there's probably a reason why I don't. I doubt you could solo it because of it's regen/resistance. But someone wants to try, by all means let me know how it turns out. Coin drop rate on this floor isn't supposed to be too bad, but I prefer the next floor honestly. So kill the little bugards until they open the next vortex. There is one time chests in the very center of this floor which has a bugard that sits right next to it. You can actually sneak up behind it and pop it without aggroing it, just be extremely careful! While you're running around to pop chests make sure you've got full mp and your buffs up, so if you do aggro you'll be able to kill whatever it is. Pop the hp/mp chest before going to the next floor. Use your 2 hour on the first bugard you fight because it could be the vortex opener!

Ohhh floor #4 how I love you. This is the floor with wyverns/fafhogg on it. Each of the wyverns drop 2 coins and there are 5 total on the floor. Start out by popping the time chests and avoiding fafhogg. Fafhogg does not link with the other wyverns thankfully. Once again, same strategy for the ram/buffalo/bugards. The wyverns don't have too much hp, but out of all the mobs here I noticed they resisted the most. Thunder IV takes off about 25% or so, so no need to rest up in the middle of fighting one. Kill as many of these as possible, I had enough time to kill all of them on a couple of my runs so far and still had 10 minutes left when I got to the top floor once. If you've killed all of them and you're feeling brave go ahead and head up to the next floor >.> If you do plan on going to this floor, I recommend saving your 2 hour for it and possibly having a vile elixer +1 on hand.

This next floor is the last one! This floor does not have a hp/mp chest. Behemoths reside on this floor and they're pretty mean. Start off by casting gravity, then start running away a bit. When you're at the max distance you can just barely get off a tier IV spell and live to tell about it. The behemoths here triple attack and they hit hard. My unresisted Thunder IV on lightningsday (with rairen obi and af2 pants) took it down to about 81%. Basically it's the same strategy as Pluto except the behemoths are more dangerous, but have less hp. I found that the part of the zone toward the exit is best to use for kiting. Stay near the edges so you don't aggro any of the other behemoths. They do not link, but they will aggro. I killed 2 of these in 10 minutes without using any meds. I did have to use a manafont on my second one because I got resisted a couple times. Also, you can sleep them using ES. I'm not sure if you can sleep them without using it though. One rewards you nicely with 5-6 coins. Having a vile elixer+1 might be a bit expensive but for 5-6 coins I'm sure it's worth having one on you just in case. Make sure you equip you max mp gear before using it though because it restores 50% hp/mp.

This limbus has a little bit of luck involved, but it's not nearly as bad as temonos east is. If you've got skill you shouldn't come out empty handed, and if you've got lots of skill you'll be rewarded nicely! The luck involved in this is simply the vortex popping. It pops after a certain mob is killed on the floor. I've had times where it was the first one I killed that popped the vortex, and I've heard as much as 6 killed before it pops.

My best run has netted my 28 coins and 2 items. In that run I killed 2 behemoths, cleared all the wyverns, killed 3 bugards, 2 buffalo, Zlatarog, Pluto, and 2 ghosts. I use melon pie+1 and have yag drinks running until I run out of them. I tried using wizard cookies and I prefer melon pies+1.The cookies just annoy me because sometimes they'll wear off while I'm resting. I've got elemental magic capped and have not seen a single resist with melon pie+1, but I have seen a lot more while using wizard cookies, especially on the wyverns. I pack my inventory completely full of them, hehe. I also use a RR hairpin just in case something horrible happens...like a ghost aspiring the rest of your mp so that you can't sleep it orz. It's happened D: If it does I don't recommend getting right up to sleep it again either because they will blood aggro from a good deal away. Maybe I'll make a video guide of this someday. Well failed a couple things, which sucks but it happens. Last night with my enm set we started off by doing brothers, which actually we got really lucky on. Didn't have to wait outside for clear weather, just got to run right in. Also, we got a Scouter's Rope /hurray for money. After that we did the Pulling the Plug enm. Crappy drops and wasn't one of our best runs that's for sure.

After that we all did a bunch of muling for our level 30 cap gear. We were planning on doing dem/holla/mea enms and on our way up get the key item for that one BC. Well, someone forgot to start the quest orz, but meh it happens. We'll just do it again some other time. Other than that we failed on the mea enm too -_- It spammed it's Aoe tp moved and pwned us at like 2% left. But here's a pretty picture...except for the elvaan in the subligar...hehe

Today I logged on and got set for Dynamis Jeuno. I was hoping we were going to do Qufim, but another LS had signed up before us? I'm not entirely sure, but np ^^. We cleared out pretty much everything and drops were pretty nice. We got 2 brd feet, rdm pants, 3 nin feet, mnk gloves, and 2 war mitts.

After Dynamis we got set up for HQ bahamut fight. Everything was going pretty smoothly until a blm pulled hate and almost all our blms got wiped out. I survived with 33 hp left, /cheer for capped stoneskin. Also got gigaflared right as one of the wyrms was popping and that kinda screwed us over as well. So in the end we ran out of time ; ; But once again, here's a pretty screen shot!

So, I had my birthday yesterday, and probably as most of you read, it sucked. But that's behind me now, kinda...

I think I'm going to skill up my cooking a bit, currently it's at 70. I got all the materials on ody's mule atm, so if I don't she'll get on my case, hehe. Oh, I got a nice salt water aquarium from ehk/odyne for my birthday!

My Fish!

Today I finally got an xp party with my drk! I was excited, and I did quite well. Thanks to Sephy for telling the party leader to invite me. Seemed like everyone was impressed with the damage I was doing, hehe. Goooooo tarutaru Drk. I didn't use souleater the entire party, cause I get beat up waaaaaay too much as it is.

Right now I'm doing enms. We're going to do Brothers, Pulling the Plug, and the crag enms tonight. Saving Attowa for sometime this weekend. Tonight hopefully I'll get to do NW Apolloyon! This time I'm hoping to get the black rivet though >.>

Just finished up with limbus. My last run was better, but it couldn't really be helped. I just didn't have much luck popping the vortexes today. First floor I killed 2 ghosts to start off, then I killed Pluto. Got 2 coins and whm item which I'll be tossing, hehe. After that I killed another ghost and the vortex was kind enough to pop. Went to the next floor and rested up. Popped the time chests and killed the ram boss who only dropped 2 coins. I much of had the item already. Then I killed 2 more buffalo, no vortex orz. I ran out of time with the last buffalo at 15% or so. Oh well. I was kinda hoping to kill a behemoth today as I bought a vile elixer+1, maybe next time!

Dynamis/Limbus w00t

Had a great day in FFXI today. Started off by going to Dynamis-Buburimu. We've got that one down pretty well now. Cleared it with no problems, and had lots of time to far afterwards. Got a good deal of items, but the highlight I think was that we got a valor cape which when to Kagesaru, so grats to him ^^ Other than that we got 3 warrior stones, a sorcerer's belt, sam kote-1, brd cuffs-1, asn. armlets-1, and an abyssal cape. There might have been more, but that's the jist of it all. Couple things that we learned from it this time around though.

#1: We learned not to pull Nightmare Uragnites.

#2: We learned not to pull Nightmare Cockatrice.

After dynamis I took a bit of a break because I was lagging to badly. I decided to do a disk defrag...well actually 25% of a disk defrag and then I decided I wanted to play some more. I got online and then remember I could do limbus again! So I got together my equipment and items and got a teleport dem. Killed the Euvhri with ease and rested when I got to the limbus entrance. I did NW Apolloyon, and I did darn well too, hehe. First floor I killed a ghost, and to my surprise it gave me a coin. Already made the run worth it, hehe. It opened up the way to the next floor, but before I went there I killed the boss. It was a doomed toad named pluto. They look so funny, hehe. It apparently has TP regen too.

After I killed the boss I got the time chests and went to the next floor. I then went after the time chests on this floor, followed by me pwning the ram boss with a funny name that starts with Z. He's not too bad, just have to be careful because he hits really hard and uses mighty strikes a bunch. After that I killed 2 buffalo, neither of which dropped coins (killed 2 because the first one didn't open vortex).

The next floor were the bugards. They're pretty easy really. Not much hp, but they're fast so gravity nuking doesn't work. Only killed 2 before heading to the next floor, or maybe I killed 1 I don't remember, either way I didn't get any coins from them. Headed up to the next floor which has wyverns. They were a lot easier than I thought they would be actually. Cleared the floor (5 wyverns) except for the faffy boss...although I was tempted to try him, lol. Each of the wyverns drop 2 coins, so that was nice! I went on to the next floor hoping that you could sleep the behemoths, but you can't. Maybe ES sleep, but probably not that either. I could probably solo one with manafont, but I was too busy testing what works/doesn't work on it. It triple attacks so you really have to stay away from it. All in All, I got 15 coins, Astral leather and Blue Rivet. Don't need either of those items though. I'm trying to get a black rivet for my drk gloves.

Sea Straight?

Did some sea stuff tonight, not too too much but it's better than nothing. We popped one temperance and got first virtue as well as the axe of course. Other than that we popped the mnk ix'aern with 2 organs, which in return gave us nothing back except for 20 xp? I did my cooking guild point items when I logged online too I suppose. Almost have enough GP for that ugly cooking hat, but I'm actually saving up for the apron first.

Once again please excuse my n00b photoshop skillz. I kinda like it though.

Now the real question is how did you read the title of this entry? Did you think it refered to the picture, or did you just think sea being the way it is with crappy drops and all not straight?

A Couple Fun Days

I joined TC with a dynamis-xaracabard run. We got pld, thf, and drk af. But the main reason we did the run was for Atrox's excalibur! You can see pics of it on other LJ's but not mine! You get to see my cheesy photoshop skills w00t. Please forgive me for I'm a photoshop n00b.

Last night my enm set got together to do our usual enms, and we got our usual crappy drops. I enjoy being with my enm set though, and the extra exp is nice as well. We did get a toreador's ring though recently and it finally sold for 24 million w00t. We do a few enms every week, which include Brothers, Sheep in Antilion's Clothing, and Pulling the Plug. All of them are pretty easy, but they take a good deal of time to do. Oh, I did get a cloud evoker from the antilion BC, which I used the very next day! ~awwww happy tarutaru

Today I woke up at about 2:15....pm of course. Just in time for ouryu! So I got ready, and then I was told to be rdm...so I got ready agian! Doesn't take too long now though because I can carry all my equipment for rdm, blm, and drk in my MH. Oh how I <3 my mannequins. So for ouryu we lost our first run at 11%. It's not because we suck or anything, it's because we didn't use any mistmelts. Our second run we made the most of my evoker by winning the BC...but just barely >.> Once again we didn't use mistmelts though. He's not too bad until his last 20%, then he bring on the pain. We didn't use mistmelts simply because we wanted a challenge/to get better at it.

And finally, I did my af3 drk helm. Thanks to Kainomega for leading the way to the nm, and for providing the quadav blood. ~awwww I'm cute, but not smiling in this one...it's cause I'm drk and drks are angry and emo.

Rosie is at my house at the moment and she was kind enough to show me how to use photoshop again, so I edited my last entry throwing in a couple pics. Haven't played at all today. Rosie is camping aspi/playing super mario III so I can't get online. So I get to update my journal /cheer. Thanks enchy for letting me use your space for the pics!

Buffalo Hunter

My first real entry w00t. First off, thanks to Rosie/Odyne my wonderful girlfriend who set this all up for me. She did the colors and whatnot as well, I just told her the basic colors and which layout to use. Just installed Adobe Photoshop Cs2 so I'll be posting pics very soon. Rosie just has to come over and show me how to use it...I think I remember how to do some very basic stuff but nothing beyond that. Oh, she gets to make me a signature too, which always look so cool.

For my LJ I think I'll post mostly about FFXI stuff, but I'll include some RL stuff as well.

So FF wise I didn't play too entirely much today...although some people would disagree of course. I played solo today just getting myself a nice buffer on my blm. I killed King Buffalo for 4 hours and got myself around 23K exp. I hit chain 3 everytime /cheer. One thing that annoyed me was the fact that the buffalo would totally deaggro and go unclaimed randomly during double ice weather. In a couple cases I casted sleep, aspir, blizzard IV all right in a row and of course the buffalo would wake up...but not take one step toward me. It would just stand there then a short time after go unclaimed. In another case I got it all the way down to 2% and then decided to go unclaimed -_- As far as drops they were a little stingy on the hides tonight, got 3 in 4 hours. But they were nice enough to drop plenty of seals : 9 beastman and 7 kindred. I almost have enough for a KS99! Also got 9 buffalo meat which sell at a decent price, and 4 horns which I NPC'd for 2K or so each.

As for my RL I spent most of the day with Rosie, which is always wonderful. After that I came home and my grandparents were at my house. They want Rosie and I to have dinner with them tomorrow, just not sure when exactly.
